Kathleen (Kathy) Sandoval, President
Kathy Sandoval is
the President of the Foundation Board as well as the Vice President and Branch Manager for National Bank of Arizona in Show Low.
She attended California State University in San Bernardino, California where she
pursued a degree in Business Management. Ms. Sandoval is involved in her
community where she previously served as Navajo County Director for the
Cinderella Scholarship Program. Currently, she is a parent volunteer with the
Girl Scouts, volunteers with her church, donates her time annually for the Tour
of the White Mountains fundraiser for Summit Healthcare, and is a member of the
White Mountain Women's Club. In 2006-07, she was awarded Director of the Year
for the Arizona Cinderella Program. When Ms. Sandoval is not working, she enjoys
spending her time with her two daughters. Her interests include music, dancing,
bowling, and camping. Leslie Byrne, Vice President
Leslie Byrne is the
Vice President and Secretary of the Foundation Board. She is also the Broker/Owner of Dreamscape Realty in Lakeside and in Washington, DC. She
completed the BFA program at Catholic University of America majoring in Fine
Arts. Leslie also enjoyed many years of extra course work at George Washington
University and Goldsmiths' College, University of London. Leslie relocated
to Show Low from Los Angeles where she received many awards in cable and theater
as a director, producer and writer. Previously on the board of the Deaf
Entertainment Foundation in Los Angeles, Leslie has also completed the Sign
Language Program at Gallaudet University for the Deaf. Ms. Byrne is also
fluent in French. Her hobbies include oil painting and gourmet cooking.
Jackie Baker
Jackie Baker is a
community volunteer, having worked for First American Title Company until July
2008 as Senior Marketing Manager for Apache and Navajo Counties. Her position
was to work with the real estate community to promote the company and increase
market share, which afforded Ms. Baker the opportunity to interface with many
different groups that participate in community affairs. Her volunteer
involvement includes Pinetop/Lakeside Chamber and Chairwoman, Northeast Advisory
Board United Way of Northern Arizona. Ms. Baker served on the Education
Committee of the White Mountain Association of Realtors and also was honored as
Member of the Year 2004 with the Woman's Council of Realtors. Ms. Baker is
married to Brad Baker. They have four children between them and four
grandchildren. Jackie enjoys the outdoors in any way. She plays golf, lots of
walking the dog, hiking and traveling.
Jack Barker
Jack Barker has
practiced law in a general civil practice for 32 years --10 years in Maricopa
County and 22 years in Pinetop. He received a B.S. Pharm from the University of
Maryland and a Law Degree from the University of Maryland. He has served Summit
Healthcare Regional Medical Center as its general counsel since 1986. Mr.
Barker has served as a judge or pro tempore for the Arizona Court of Appeals,
the White Mountain Apache Tribe Court of Appeals, the Navajo County Superior
Court and the Justice Courts in Navajo County. His volunteer involvement
includes founder and current facilitator for the White Mountain Bereavement
Group since 1987, providing help to families grieving the loss of their loved
ones. Mr. Barker has earned his Pilot's Wings with the U.S. Air Force, Williams
Air Force Base in Chandler, Arizona in 1970. His hobbies include bicycling,
skiing and fly fishing.
Felice Katz-Bobo

Ms. Katz-Bobo is the President/CEO/Owner of Caring Hearts Companion Care (CHCC
helps the elderly remain independent in their own homes). Caring Hearts
Companion Care has been proudly serving the White Mountains for over three
years. She is a volunteer member of the RCOA (Regional Council on Aging) for
Navajo County and participant in the Elder Abuse Task Force for Navajo and
Apache Counties. Ms. Katz-Bobo received her CSA (Certified Senior Advisor)
certification in 2006. She is a member of the ABWA (American Business Women's
Association), the Society of Senior Advisors, and The Senior's Choice. She
enjoys spending time with her husband John and two beautiful children Logan and
Jordan. Her family shares time enjoying camping, hiking, biking, skiing,
snowmobiling and quality time with their friends.
Barbara Bruce
Barbara Bruce is
the Director of Community Relations for White Mountain Radio and talk show host
of five weekly radio shows, one of which is filmed for television and is also on
the Internet. She served as President of the Show Low Chamber from 2002-2007 and
is a graduate of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute of Organizational
Management. She continues to serve the community as a board member for Summit
Healthcare Regional Medical Foundation, Salvation Army, St. Anthony's Catholic
School and RTA Hospice. Ms. Bruce is a member of the Navajo County Coalition
Against Drug Abuse Steering Committee, President of Friends of the Coalition,
and is Co-Chair of The Character First Council in Show Low. From 2004 - 2008
Barbara served on the Governor‘s Council for Small Business, chairing the Small
Business Finance Committee and served as Associate Faculty at Northland Pioneer
College from 1999 - 2009. Ms. Bruce was elected "2008 Business Woman of the
Year" by the Snowflake-Taylor Chamber of Commerce. She is an Arizona certified
cessation specialist and hosted, produced and directed the first radio talk show
in the world regarding tobacco - which she retired after a nine-year run in
January 2008. Prior to coming to Arizona she worked as an Insurance
Professional, and taught the National Association of Legal Secretaries’ Course
at Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama.
John Corder
John Corder is
President of Corder Community Services in Show Low. Mr. Corder retired after
thirty six years in law enforcement and served as Chief of Police for twenty
years for the City of Show Low. He grew up in Iowa and attended numerous law
enforcement schools, academies, as well as Northland Pioneer College. He is a
life member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, the Arizona
Association of Chiefs of Police and past chair of the Show Low Chamber of
Commerce Board. In the past twenty five years he has been a member of and
participated in many local groups and organizations. He has been appointed by
two Governors to state boards and is a past President of the Arizona Association
of Chiefs of Police. Mr. Corder serves as the liaison between the Foundation
and Governing Boards of the hospital. He enjoys volunteering his time to serve
the hospital and the community. Mr. Corder's interests include classic cars,
art and music. He and his wife Janet have two grown children and four
grandchildren.
Michael Ellsworth
Michael
Ellsworth is an attorney with the Law Office of RIGGS & ELLSWORTH, P.C.,
specializing in Domestic Relations (Family Law), Social Security Disability, and
Personal Injury. He received his Bachelor of Science in Education for Arizona
State University in 1994; a Masters in Education from Northern Arizona
University in 1997; and a Juris Doctor Degree from Washburn University School of
Law in 2003. Attorney Ellsworth was public educator at the Junior High School
level in Queen Creek and Gilbert, Arizona, for six years. He is currently a
member of the State Bar of Arizona. His hobbies include camping with his
family, fishing, horseback riding, and sports. He is also involved with his
church and the Boy Scouts of America.
William Lasonder

Bill is a
Realtor with Realty Executives in Pinetop. Mr. Lasonder received his bachelor
degree from the University of Arizona and a Masters Certificate in Project
Management from George Washington University. He worked for Motorola for
eighteen years managing difference businesses in Planning, Customer Service,
Purchasing, Marketing, Manufacturing and Engineering as well as Business
Management. He also worked for Cadence Design Systems for three years managing
large engineering programs. Mr. Lasonder was recently elected to the Governing
Board of Blue Ridge Unified School District. In addition, Mr. Lasonder was
appointed by the Pinetop Lakeside Town Council to the Pinetop Lakeside 2020
Vision Committee representing the Business Seat. Mr. Lasonder is currently a
member of the Arizona Association of Realtors and is on the Board of Directors
for The White Mountain Women's Council of Realtors. He enjoys volunteering his
time coaching Little League, football, basketball and soccer. Mr. Lasonder's
hobby is Karate and Tae Kwon Do in which he has a conditional black belt.
Laurie McCain

Laurie McCain is a Sales Associate with Sonoran Lifestyle Real Estate at the
Torreon Sales Office in Show Low. She received her Bachelor of Arts in
Education from Wayne State College with a double major in history and vocal
music. Ms. McCain taught in the public school system for twenty years in
Nebraska and owned and operated an independent piano and voice studio. In 1994,
her focus turned to sales as Group Sales Manager for the Phoenix Symphony and
Customer Service Manager and Sales Associate for Infiniti of Scottsdale. Past
and present volunteer activities include Board of Directors of Show Low Main
Street, member of Arts Alliance of the White Mountains, committee member for
Northland Pioneer College Foundation’s Music in the Pines, a member of
the Show Low Chamber's fund raiser with the Flagstaff symphony, a member of the
White Mountain Chorale, and a volunteer for the Summit Healthcare Pet Therapy
Program. She enjoys music, golf and hiking. She has a daughter and two
grandchildren.
Carol Smith
Carol Smith is a
Certified Public Accountant in Concho. Her accounting practice specializes in
not-for-profit audits and small business services. Her business also includes
SuccessWorks International, an internet and relationship marketing business,
specializing in the health and wellness industry. She is Co-Owner and President
of Bannon Springs Ranch Christian Health Center, an assisted living center that
has been in Vernon for over ten years. Prior to her recent move to Arizona,
Carol worked in the Banking and Public Accounting industries for fourteen years
and then as a Manager for Duke Energy in Houston, Texas for thirteen years.
Ms. Smith received her BBA in Accounting from the University of Houston. Carol
provides volunteer services for Concho Community Action Network and Concho
Volunteer Fire Department. Past and present volunteer activities include FOCIS
(Focus On Community Initiatives for Seniors), United Way Campaigning, Team
Leader for Corporate Global Service Events, Junior Achievement and Silent
Auction Chairperson for Pin Oak Charity Horse Show benefiting Ronald McDonald
House.
