Aromatherapy
There are many ways to use aromatherapy products. In the hospital setting, only the use of 100% pure therapeutic grade essential oils by trained healthcare providers is acceptable. Summit Healthcare has a trained Clinical Aromatherapist who has implemented special training for our OB nurses in the use of essential oil of lavender in laboring patients. Lavender can ease labor discomfort and help laboring mothers cope better with the labor experience. This service is available by doctor's order. Ask your labor nurse or doctor for more information.
