Cell One employees ‘get their pink on’ for local cancer centers

SHOW LOW — Cellular One announced that its employees raised a total of $1,639.82 in October to benefit local cancer centers in its service area. Piggybacking on national campaigns that use the color pink in fostering breast cancer awareness every October, the company’s employees planned a variety of fundraising events and initiatives throughout the month, including a pink-themed bake sale, a pink cotton candy sale, 50/50 raffle and the “Sub of Love” — a huge submarine sandwich presented in the form of a breast cancer awareness ribbon and served with pink plates and napkins.
