Created and used by Mayo Clinic medical professionals, it contains the latest Mayo Clinic-vetted, point-of-care information that provides quick insight on disease management, care guidelines, treatment recommendations and reference materials. All Summit Healthcare clinical staff, including allied health professionals, have access to this resource.
An eConsult is an electronic method for a Mayo Clinic specialist to answer a physician’s focused question about diagnosis, therapy or management through a review of the patient’s electronic medical record, imaging studies and laboratory tests.
Patient Education Materials
The Mayo Clinic patient education library gives health care providers access to visual aids for patient treatment plans. Patient education content gives staff a way to share essential information with at- risk patients or preventive information that will help patients live healthier lives. Truven healthcare education is provided to patients throughout their stay.
The Mayo Clinic patient education library features 2,500 pieces of material in English, with some library offerings also available in Spanish. Most of the content is written at a sixth-grade reading level.
Mayo Clinic Grand Rounds
Grand Rounds events provide opportunities for clinical practitioners, physicians and faculty to share medical successes and challenges, and guest lecturers to provide important national and international context regarding the growing challenges and opportunities in the science of health care delivery. Grand Rounds include 45- to 60- minute presentations with opportunities for 0.75 to 1.0* AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)TM.
