Know when to visit an Urgent Care
Urgent Care treats non-life-threatening illnesses or injuries quickly, with shorter wait times and lower costs. Conditions treated include:
- Animal/Insect Bite
- Back Pain
- Broken Bones
- Colds or Cough
- Deep Bruises
- Ear Infection
- Fever
- Pink Eye
- Rashes
- Scratches or Cuts
- Sore Throat
- Stomach Flu/Virus
- Strep Throat/Mono
- Strains
- Sprains
- UTI
Know when to visit the Emergency Room
The Emergency Room should be utilized if you risk death or disability without immediate medical care. Go directly to the Emergency Room or call 911 if you are experiencing:
- Arm weakness
- Bleeding uncontrollably
- Chest pain
- Facial drooping or numbness
- Physical trauma or serious head injury
- Seizure or loss of consciousness
- Slurred speech
- Sudden difficulty seeing in one or both eyes
- Sudden dizziness or difficulty breathing
- Sudden severe headache with no known cause
- Stroke symptoms
- Your life or your limb is in danger
Always call 911 and don't drive yourself to the Emergency Department if you are having difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, a life or limb injury, or signs of stroke or heart attack.
