What are our Physician Assisted Services?
Summit Healthcare has the capability to provide faster care to patients in the emergency room through the Physician Assistant (PA) Services. This service is to treat patients who have a simple illness or minor injury. The PA service has dedicated patient rooms located within the Emergency Department staffed by a physician assistant, a nurse and an emergency room technician. Patients with non-emergent complaints, such as sore throats, fevers, sprains, ear infections, upper respiratory problems, and minor cuts and abrasions that require medical treatment are treated by the PA.
If during the examination it is determined that your symptoms need a higher level of treatment, the emergency department is steps away with a highly skilled emergency physician, advanced radiology and lab testing to meet your needs.
The PA service reduces wait times and operates from 9 am to midnight seven days a week.
In case of a life threatening emergency, dial 9-1-1.
