Testimonials

There are so many reasons I love working for Summit Healthcare. We are a smaller community, which means I get to know my patients and colleagues on a different level. Our community is like one big family, we all look out for each other. Summit provides countless opportunities for growth and development, and everybody here wants to see you succeed. Our Nurse Residency Program provides new nurses the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge needed for a solid foundation in nursing practice, and allows them to discover which patient care area is right for them. We have an amazing organization and the White Mountains is a great place to raise a family. This is by far THE place to be in Arizona.

After working 10+ years in a large Academic Health Center helping rural hospitals, the last three years at Summit has been a true blessing. I get to work closely with amazing clinicians, providers, staff and ESPECIALLY our dedicated NURSES. The White Mountains is a great place to raise a family and enjoy all the natural beauty and activities in a small town atmosphere.

I am, and always have been, proud to be a part of the Summit Healthcare Team! We are like family here at Summit. We have a high-functioning team with state-of-the-art facilities and resources. We truly care about giving our patients compassionate and competent care. Our beautiful, small-town community is a great place to live, especially if you like to play as hard as you work.

Summit Healthcare is like a family to me. I have worked here for 18 years and truly enjoy my job. The White Mountains is an incredible place to live, it is a place where we can enjoy all four seasons. I love being a part of a 5 Star CMS facility where we give quality care to our friends, our neighbors and our family. I had both of my children at this hospital and have had all my care here too. I’ve been to other facilities with family members and none of them hold a candle to Summit Healthcare.

I have had two total knee replacements and I am currently lying in the hospital bed for my second one. The staff the hospital and the care has been outstanding. We are very fortunate to have this hospital and their capabilities for such rural setting. Both my husband and I consider that we could have services here on the mountain and our recovery was by far easier than if we had to travel to the valley.

Just spent time with mammography dept. Speaking as a retired healthcare director, the care was top notch. Staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. Maryann performed my test in a kind and professional manner. She is an exceptional employee.

Summit Hospital is where all 12 of our children have been born. The staff of nurses and other support staff have always been awesome. We’ve visited the Emergency room on countless occasions and always encountered great service…

Labor and Delivery and Postpartum wings were absolutely amazing. Every single nurse and staff worker were competent, caring, and wonderful. My experience was so great. Everyone was caring and took their time with me and my newborn. Everything was explained to me and I did not have a single bad experience.

I had never been hospitalized before and could not have asked for better care. Even the day I was released the Doctor asked if I was ready to leave or if I wanted to stay another day as I didn’t feel “100%” yet. Nothing was an inconvenience to them and they truly did go out of their way to make sure I was as comfortable as I could be in the condition that I was in at the hospital.

Having no previous medical experience, and changing my career later in life, the Nurse Residency Program helped to bridge the skills learned in school.
