AHCCCS Changes: What You Need to Know

Changes are coming to AHCCCS in 2027. Stay informed, stay prepared, and know that Summit Healthcare is here to help.

New federal requirements will bring changes to Arizona's Medicaid program, known as the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS), beginning January 1, 2027. Some members may have new requirements to maintain their health coverage, including participating in work or other qualifying activities and renewing their coverage more frequently.

Not everyone will be affected by these changes. AHCCCS will notify members directly if new requirements apply to them.

At Summit Healthcare, we understand that navigating health insurance can feel overwhelming. We are committed to helping our patients and community understand these changes, access helpful resources, and find support when they need it.
