SHOW LOW — Cellular One employees raised more than $300 in October to benefit local Summit Healthcare Cancer Center.
Piggy-backing on national campaigns that use the color pink in fostering Breast Cancer Awareness every October, Cellular One employees planned and participated in a variety of fund-raising events, including selling raffle tickets for a pink-themed basket and hosting a Mexican fiesta lunch to spread awareness and gather donations.
Festivities culminated Oct. 31 with Show Low-based Cellular One employees donning their pink tongue-in-cheek “I love my girls” T-shirts and gathering outside for a group photo for the company’s Facebook page.
“Our employees inspire me on a daily basis, but it is especially gratifying to see them unite over important initiatives such as Breast Cancer Awareness,” Cellular One CEO Judd Hinkle said.
“I wholeheartedly support employee-driven campaigns like this, where our people show that in addition to giving so much to our customers, they also give back to the community in positive and meaningful ways.”
